Dr. Yoendry Torres' Expertise
Video therapy is how I see most of my clients. I treat depression and anxiety in adults using an integrative mix of CBT, mindfulness, existential psychology and logotherapy, with the same quality of care you’d get in my office. Learn more about the conditions I treat.
How Telehealth Works
Telehealth sessions with me take place over secure video built into Jane, the HIPAA-compliant practice management system I use. You don’t need to download an app or create a video account.
1. Book your appointment
Once your appointment is scheduled, Jane automatically emails you a secure link to your telehealth session. You’ll find the same link in your appointment reminder.
2. Get your device ready
All you need is a phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a microphone and a reliable internet connection. A few tips for a smooth session: 1. Use a stable Wi-Fi connection rather than cellular data when you can. 2. Headphones help with sound quality and privacy. 3. Open the link 5 minutes early to check your camera and microphone.
3. Find a quiet, private space
Therapy works best when you can speak freely. Choose a room where you won’t be overheard or interrupted, such as a home office, a bedroom with the door closed, or even a parked car. Please don’t join while driving.
4. Be in Arizona or a PSYPACT state during your session
I’m licensed in Arizona and authorized through PSYPACT to provide telehealth in the participating states listed above. The rule depends on where you physically are during the session, not where you live. If you’re traveling to a state that isn’t on the list, let me know ahead of time and we’ll reschedule. At the start of each session, I’ll confirm your location and a way to reach you if we get disconnected.

Questions About Therapy With Dr. Torres
Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
For anxiety, depression and stress, research shows video therapy works about as well as meeting in person for most adults. Many clients find it easier to stay consistent when they don’t have to drive or sit in a waiting room. If you’d prefer to meet face to face, in-person sessions are available at my Tucson office.
What types of mental health issues do you treat?
At Intuition Wellness Center PLLC, Dr. Torres specializes in treating anxiety and depressive disorders in both adults. Dr. Torres also provides support for those dealing with stress, burnout, life transitions, and other emotional challenges.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
Our approach is integrative, meaning we tailor our therapy to fit each client’s unique needs. We incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, positive psychology, existential psychology, family systems, and logotherapy to help clients achieve lasting change.
How can therapy help with anxiety?
Therapy can provide you with tools to manage anxiety by helping you understand and change the thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to it. Techniques like mindfulness and CBT are particularly effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety and improving your overall quality of life.
What should I expect during my first session?
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your concerns, goals, and any symptoms you may be experiencing. From there, we’ll work together to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs.
How long does therapy usually take?
The length of therapy varies depending on the individual and the nature of the issues being addressed. Some clients see significant improvement in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support. We’ll regularly review your progress to ensure your therapy is effective and meets your goals.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, your privacy is extremely important to us. All therapy sessions are confidential, and we adhere to strict ethical standards to protect your personal information. There are a few exceptions to confidentiality, such as situations involving harm to yourself or others, which we will discuss in detail during your first session.
Can therapy help with depression?
Absolutely. Therapy can be highly effective in treating depression by helping you explore the underlying causes, change negative thought patterns, and develop coping strategies. Our integrative approach also focuses on helping you find meaning and purpose, which can be crucial in overcoming depressive symptoms.
Do you offer online therapy sessions?
Yes, we offer in-person and online therapy sessions (telehealth) to accommodate your schedule and preferences. Online therapy provides the same level of care and confidentiality as in-person sessions and is a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles.
How do I know if I need therapy?
If you’re experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or stress, or if you’re struggling to cope with life’s challenges, therapy can be a valuable resource. It’s not necessary to wait until a crisis occurs; therapy can also be beneficial for personal growth and improving overall mental wellness.
How much does therapy cost?
Fees
- Clinical Intake: $200/hr
- Therapy Sessions: $165/hr
- Case Management: $41.25/15 minutes
Do you take health insurance?
Yes. I’m in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan from another state, your claims may still be covered through the national BlueCard program. Call the number on your card to confirm your telehealth and mental health benefits. For other insurance plans, I’m out of network: you pay at the time of service, and I provide a superbill you can submit for possible reimbursement.
