I’m Dr. Yoendry Torres, a bilingual clinical psychologist licensed in Arizona. Through PSYPACT, I see adults across Florida by secure video for anxiety, depression, stress and life transitions. I was raised in Miami and went to school there, so Florida isn’t just a name on a list for me. Sessions are available in English or Spanish.
My approach is integrative. I draw on CBT, mindfulness, existential psychology and logotherapy, so treatment fits you rather than a single method. For many Floridians, especially Spanish-speaking adults who want a therapist who understands both cultures, telehealth makes it possible to work with the right psychologist instead of the closest one. We’ll schedule around Eastern time, and all you need is a private space and an internet connection while you’re in Florida.

Meet Dr. Torres
Hi, I’m Dr. Yoendry Torres, a bilingual (English/Spanish), bicultural (Cuban-American) licensed clinical telehealth psychologist in Tucson, Arizona with a unique background that blends psychology, martial arts and entrepreneurship.
Fun fact: Dr. Torres was raised in Miami, FL and graduated from Miami-Dade Community College and Florida International University before heading to Chicago for graduate school.
As a clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience, I’ve developed a multifaceted approach that integrates positive psychology, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, existential psychology, family systems, and logotherapy.
I’m also a 5th dan black belt in Taekwondo, a Poomsae athlete and a Coach. As a result, I have developed a deep understanding of the mental and physical demands placed on high performers.
I’m also a serial entrepreneur and C-suite executive with over 10 years experience. I understand the relentless drive to achieve and the immense pressure of making decisions that impact many lives.
This diverse toolkit allows me to tailor interventions that address the root causes of anxiety and depression while fostering resilience, clarity, and peak performance. Questions About Therapy With Dr. Torres
Are you licensed to see clients in Florida?
Yes. I’m licensed as a psychologist in Arizona (PSY-004308) and hold Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT), mobility number 23626, through PSYPACT. Under that authority I can provide telehealth to adults located in Florida and other PSYPACT states. You can confirm participating states on the PSYPACT website.
Do I have to be in Florida during sessions?
Yes. What counts is where you physically are during each session, not where you live. If you’re in Florida, Arizona or another PSYPACT state at session time, we can meet. If you’ll be traveling somewhere that isn’t on the list, let me know and we’ll reschedule. At the start of each session, I’ll confirm your location.
Can I use my Florida insurance?
If you have Florida Blue or another Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, your sessions may be covered through BlueCard, since I’m in network with BCBS of Arizona. Coverage for telehealth across state lines depends on your plan, so check with Florida Blue first. With any other insurer, I’m out of network and provide a superbill after each session for you to submit for reimbursement.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish?
Sí. I’m bilingual and bicultural, and I offer therapy in English or Spanish. Many clients find it easier to talk about emotions in the language they grew up with, or to move between both. Sesiones disponibles en español.
What hours work for Eastern time?
I’m in Arizona, which doesn’t observe daylight saving time. Most of Florida is 2 hours ahead of me from November to March and 3 hours ahead from March to November. My appointment hours are [9 to 2pm Arizona time], which is [11 to 4pm Eastern] in winter and [12 to 5pm Eastern] in summer. When you book, Jane shows appointment times in your own time zone.
